Canoe Journey
The Paddle to Elwha has concluded, with celebrations now underway in Lower Elwha. This annual journey—a powerful revival of Indigenous canoe traditions—brings healing and connection to Tribal nations across the Pacific Northwest. We’re honored that our longtime artist-in-residence, Sáádúúts, and his family prepared for this journey at CWB, practicing in our new Clipper Canoe. As we celebrate this meaningful event, we also acknowledge that our work unfolds on the ancestral lands of the Duwamish People, whose stewardship and resilience continue to inspire and guide us.

Float Our Future Survey
Please take a moment to fill out our brief, anonymous survey! Lake Union Park is shaped by a community with diverse identities, values, and experiences. This survey is an effort to better understand and document those perspectives: how the park is used, how people connect to the environment, and what it feels like to spend time here. It is part of a University of Washington capstone in collaboration with The Center for Wooden Boats, supporting Float Our Future, the Center’s community-driven effort to keep the park inclusive, vibrant, and welcoming for generations to come.
We deeply appreciate your time, perspective, and support.
