Description:

This race series is intended to be a fun opportunity to get out on the water and engage in friendly competition. It is a great way to meet other sailors as well as tune your sailing skills. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 sailors overall for the series. Teams and boats will be assigned randomly on the night of the race to level the playing field (no killer teams). Everyone has a chance to do well in the standings each night.

Race Format:

  • Skippers and crew will be assigned on the day of the race

  • Course will be set during the pre-race meeting

  • Will run multiple races if time permits

  • Each race is scored: First place = 3 points, second place = 2 points, third place = 1 point. Based on the points each racer accumulates over the night, a first - third place overall will be calculated for the night and recorded. Each racer’s score will be tracked over the series. Prizes will be awarded for first - third place for the series overall.

  • The score for a given race is applied to the boat’s place in the race. Everyone on the boat receives the boats score at the end of the night.

    Prizes:

    • The racer with the highest score for the series overall will receive a Die Hard season pass.

    • The racer with the second highest score for the series overall will receive a Weekly season pass.

Safe Powerboat Handling:

This class is designed to give you the knowledge that you need to safely operate a powerboat that is under 26 feet. Many of these skills and concepts are transferable to larger craft. In between classroom sessions you will get to go out on our powerboats with an instructor to get hands on training on boat systems as well as learning how to maneuver and dock the boat.
