Elyse Packard

Volunteer and Gift Shop manager

“I believe in hands-on volunteering that makes a real difference. There is something powerful in donating time to CWB; where everyone is expected to teach, learn, and truly hone new skills. I hope to help more and more people feel inspired by this magical place.”

Elyse grew up in Tucson, Arizona with dreams of mountains, greenery, and living by the water. They got out of the desert for college, obtaining Mathematics and Business Administration degrees at Coe College in Iowa. During the pandemic they took a gap year to work with AmeriCorps in Dallas, Texas. There, they gained experience in volunteer management and community engagement at Habitat for Humanity. Their passion for leading volunteers only grew from there!

When they graduated in May 2022, they moved to Phoenix to coordinate large service projects at a volunteer management organization. Since moving to Seattle to live by the water and work at the Center, Elyse has learned to sail and regularly enjoys a good Duck Dodge race in the summer. You can find them trying new foods, painting, relaxing with some video games or a good book, and hiking their PNW bucket list.
