“I couldn’t be happier than when I’m sharing my love of sailing.”

Nancy grew up sailing in Michigan and moved to Seattle to attend the University of Washington, eventually earning a BS in Pharmacy, MBA and MS in Population Planning.  After a career in global health that included 2 years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Togo, West Africa, a four year stint with USAID in Washington D.C. and many years with PATH in Seattle, she has returned to her early roots and sailing.  Nancy credits CWB with getting her back out on the water after retirement and is thrilled to be teaching sailing and US Sailing Basic Keelboat certification.  When she is not sharing the joy of sailing with the next generation she is hiking, skiing, traveling, reading and painting watercolors.

What is your favorite tool?

“My tape measure!  I keep one in the kitchen, one in my car and I have a 50 foot tape measure in my tool box.  I have another tape measure in my sewing box and even have one in my bathroom.  It's amazing how often a tape measure comes in handy. “
