Pacific Rim Institute of Marine Artists Inaugural exhibition

The Pacific Rim Institute of Marine Artists was founded in 2016.

The Institute was conceived to bring together marine artists who practice in those countries bordering on the Pacific Ocean. This inaugural exhibition received 85 entries from artists practicing in the eleven western states, Canada, Hawaii, New Zealand and Australia. Of those entries, our judges have selected the 40 pieces of artwork on display here at The Center for Wooden Boats.

The artists cover a mix of marine subjects historical and modern in a variety of mediums including oils, watercolor, acrylic, gouache, and mixed media.
