We’ve teamed up with the Pacific Science Center to create a week of fun, science-filled sailing! Delve into the math and physics behind sailing and boat design by spending the mornings at the Science Center building model boats and conducting experiments. In the afternoons, we’ll walk to the Center for Wooden Boats to spend the rest of the day sailing on Lake Union in our El Toro fleet.

REQUIREMENTS & WHAT TO EXPECT

A swim test is not required for CWB’s youth sailing programs. Lifejackets are required and provided for all participants. The first day of Beginning Sailing includes a capsize drill, where students deliberately flip and right their sailboat next to the dock and under close instructor supervision.
