PREREQUISITES: Intermediate Sailing
Teen Sailors take the helm of CWB’s, marconi-rigged Lightning, gaff-rigged Beetle Cat, spritsail and lug-rigged sloops. Beginner and Intermediate Sailors learning to handle larger boats, while building confidence and teamwork. Sailors will learn:
Proper sail trim for two sails
Fun racing techniques
Current weather and land effects
Navigation and emergency procedures
Boat handling skills include steering with the sails, roll tacking, gybing, advanced upwind and downwind sailing. Students who complete a Livery Check out at the end of class will be able to receive a Livery card enabling them to rent a boat!
Grad School does not include a capsize drill. – Advanced sailing does not include a capsize drill.
SUMMER SESSIONS | MONDAY – FRIDAY 9AM – 12PM | $245
CWB is excited to be able to offer After Care from 4:00pm-5:30pm during summer camps.
Late-pick ups without pre-registration will be charged $7/15 minutes.

REQUIREMENTS & WHAT TO EXPECT
A swim test is not required for CWB’s youth sailing programs. Lifejackets are required and provided for all participants. Grad School does not include a capsize drill.
Please note, this class is geared towards older kids aged 10-16.
