In the early 1900s the H. A. Long Boat Works in Olympia, WA was run by Henry Long, Sr. The boat works was known for its wooden lapstrake rowboats and canoes. Henry Sr.’s love of boats was passed on to his eldest son Henry Jr. who became a Naval radio operator.
