Thank you for your interest in volunteering at The Center for Wooden Boats (CWB), a museum dedicated to hands-on learning and preservation of maritime heritage. As a volunteer at CWB, you have the opportunity to be involved at every level of museum activities. If you are willing to make between a 3 and 12 month commitment to volunteering with us, we can offer you opportunities to utilize your existing skills, and hopefully learn new ones.
In order to get started as a volunteer, you must:
All new volunteers must attend a general volunteer orientation. At that orientation, you will be introduced to CWB policies, tour the facility, have questions answered about volunteer opportunities, and turn in your application for specific volunteer jobs. After the orientation, you will be contacted by a staff person to schedule training or arrange an interview.
The Center for Wooden Boats is an exciting and dynamic museum and community center, and I am glad that you have chosen us as the place where you would like to donate your time and talents. I look forward to working with you in the future!
Sincerely,
Eldon Tam , Volunteer Program Manager
