Lake Union Sailing
University
Spring Session March 13th - April 3rd
You've demanded it.
You've met in secret plotting it.
You've even asked for it point blank as nice as can be.
Well, here it is. The next step for SailNOW!: Lake Union Sailing University. Four Saturdays of classes designed as a chance to learn and share for SailNOW! graduates and instructors alike, as well as CWB volunteers with a sailing background.
The classes offered in Lake Union Sailing University are structured to be taken in their entirety as a coherent curriculum or singly as workshops. Each week's classes are organized around a different theme: Sloops, Workboats, Racing, and Cruising. In the mornings, we'll cover the smaller boats within the theme and sail the bigger boats in the afternoon. Rain or shine, wind be dammed, we're sailing.
Think you're under qualified? Doubt it. Probably not over qualified either. All of us have knowledge to share, and all of us can gain a deeper understanding of sailing by participating. Lake Union Sailing University is strictly for sailors by sailors. Enough with the sales pitch - here are the classes:
Saturday, March 13th - Sloop-a-palooza!!!
$20 per class/ $30 entire day

SailNOW! Grads: Do you wonder what else there is to sailing beyond lesson eight? INSTRUCTORS: do you ever wonder what it's like to really sail these boats, just for fun? Do you wonder how other instructors are teaching and want a chance to share? Sloop-a-palooza offers just that chance for everyone. In the morning, spend 45 minutes in class theorizing about the finer points then head to the water for a couple of hours testing those theories in real time. In the afternoon, get more acquainted with the bigger sloops of the collection.
