Joe Greenley (Redfish Kayaks) Cedar Strip Kayak Building - Joe Greenley has been building wood-strip kayaks since 1992 and offers workshops at The Center for Wooden Boats and at his shop in Port Townsend. He will be demonstrating the process throughout the Festival and also displaying several of his beautiful finished boats.

Corey Freedman - traditional native skin-on-frame boat building - Corey Freedman is one of the foremost proponents of traditional native skin boat construction. Throughout the Festival, he will demonstrate this unique building style and will also offer visitors a chance to try out these boats on the water (visitors get paddling/safety demo and a short time on the water.)

Bronze Casting: Johnny Holmes / Sara Johnson - Boat builders in particular often need special bronze fittings which are not available but can be cast without great expense. Anyone who has ever lost an oarlock will appreciate learning how to make copies of original hardware.
